Mourinho wants to offload Éder Militão upon joining Real Madrid
José Mourinho, set to take charge of Real Madrid, reportedly does not see Éder Militão in his plans due to the defender's recurring injury issues.
Real Madrid defender Éder Militão could be set for an exit this summer. Reports indicate that incoming manager José Mourinho, who is expected to replace Alvaro Arbeloa, has identified the Brazilian as surplus to requirements.
The decision is reportedly driven by the 26-year-old's ongoing struggles with injuries, which have hindered his consistency. Consequently, the manager has requested that the club list the defender for transfer.
PSG has shown interest in the player and reportedly submitted an opening offer of 35 million euros. However, the Spanish club rejected the bid, holding out for a valuation closer to 65 million euros.
This season, Militão has made 21 appearances across all competitions, contributing two goals and one assist. His contract at the Santiago Bernabéu currently runs until June 2028.
