French winger Mathys Detourbet has officially joined AS Monaco. The 19-year-old will spend the upcoming season on loan from Manchester City.
The English club acquired Detourbet this summer from Troyes, a club that is also part of the City Football Group. Reports indicate the transfer fee was approximately 25 million euros.
During his time with Troyes in Ligue 2 last season, Detourbet made 37 appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 7 assists. Monaco describes their new signing as an explosive player, capable of making a difference on the flank, and notes that he distinguishes himself with his dribbling and one-on-one ability.
Having won the Ligue 2 title with Troyes last season, Detourbet will now look to test himself in the top flight with his new club.
