Mohamed Salah delivered a masterclass for Trabzonspor, leading his side to a resounding 4-0 victory over Galatasaray in the Turkish Super Lig. The Egyptian captain opened the scoring in the fourth minute following a brilliant solo run and doubled the lead just before half-time.
Salah completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute and provided an assist to seal a dominant performance. According to Opta, he is the first foreign player to score in his first three home matches for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig since the 2000-01 season.
His impact in Turkey has been immediate. With seven goals in his first six league appearances, Salah currently leads the Turkish Super Lig scoring charts. He is now just one goal shy of equaling the club record of eight goals in the opening six matches, set by Burak Yilmaz in the 2011-12 campaign.
The forward had already made his mark with goals against Istanbul Basaksehir and Genclerbirligi earlier this season. Salah will now join the Egypt national team for the upcoming international break before returning to Trabzonspor to face Samsunspor on October 10.
