Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has reportedly received a highly attractive offer from a club in the Saudi league. According to journalist Nicolo Schira, the Saudi side is looking to sign the 33-year-old on a free transfer once his current deal with the Merseyside club expires.
The proposed agreement runs until 2028, with an option to extend the stay for an additional season, taking the deal through to 2029. At this stage, the player has yet to provide an answer regarding the proposal.
The wider context is that Salah has been a pivotal figure for the team since joining in 2017. Throughout his tenure, he has helped the club secure two Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, and a UEFA Super Cup. Last season, he made 41 appearances across all competitions, contributing 12 goals and 10 assists.
Next, the situation will likely evolve as the player weighs his options between a move to the Middle East or continuing his career in Europe. With his contract status approaching its end, clarity on his future is expected in the coming months.
