Portuguese forward Rafael Leao remains at the center of Milan's transfer activity this summer. After informing the Italian club of his desire to leave, the 27-year-old has been the subject of several inquiries, yet Milan is showing no signs of backing down from its valuation.
Galatasaray has been particularly persistent in negotiations, but they have yet to meet the demands set by the Rossoneri. Milan is holding firm on a 60 million euro price tag, a figure that remains a significant stumbling block for any club currently interested in his services.
A recent high-stakes meeting involving representatives from both clubs and Leao’s agents concluded without any major breakthrough, leaving the deal at a standstill. The lack of progress in these talks makes a transfer appear unlikely in the immediate future.
In the meantime, the club's new head coach, Ruben Amorim, is already planning for competition within the squad, confirming that Leao will have to fight for a starting spot if he remains at the club.
