Michael Carrick signs new contract with Manchester United until 2028
Manchester United has officially confirmed the appointment of Michael Carrick as head coach on a deal running until 2028 following his successful interim period.

Michael Carrick will continue as the manager of Manchester United on a permanent basis. The English coach, who had been in charge on an interim basis since mid-January, has signed a contract extension keeping him at the club until 2028.
Taking over from Ruben Amorim, the 44-year-old manager oversaw a swift turnaround. Under his guidance, the squad led by Bruno Fernandes climbed from sixth to third place in the Premier League table.

The team's form improved significantly, securing 11 victories in 16 matches, including notable wins against Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool. This surge secured the club's return to the Champions League, a competition they had not reached the podium for since the 2022-2023 season.
