Memphis Depay registered with CBF and available for Corinthians return
Dutch forward Memphis Depay has been cleared to play for Corinthians following his contract renewal and is eligible for the Copa Libertadores.
Memphis Depay is officially cleared to play again for Corinthians. The player's name was published in the CBF's Daily Information Bulletin (BID) on Tuesday, August 18, making him available for selection by head coach Fernando Diniz.
This registration follows the agreement reached between the club and the forward to renew his contract. On the same day, Memphis participated in his first training session at the Joaquim Grava training center, performing individualized work on the field.
Corinthians now awaits the possibility of having Memphis available for the decisive match against Rosario Central this Thursday, August 20, at the Neo Química Arena. The game is the second leg of the Copa Libertadores round of 16.
Memphis is already registered for the competition, as he remained under contract when the initial squad list was submitted. With his formal registration now complete, it is up to Fernando Diniz to decide whether to include the number 10 in the squad for the upcoming continental tie.
