Arsenal secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory against Danish side HB Koge in their opening Women's Champions League fixture. Despite dominating possession from the start, the Gunners struggled to break down a resolute defensive block until the final moments of the game.
Arsenal thought they had taken the lead early on when Chloe Kelly found the net, but the goal was disallowed after Stina Blackstenius was ruled offside and obstructing the goalkeeper's vision. The home side continued to pile on the pressure, but remained wasteful in front of goal for the duration of the contest.
The breakthrough finally arrived deep in stoppage time when Selina Cerci was fouled inside the box, allowing Mariona Caldentey to step up and calmly convert the winning penalty.

The narrow result highlights the recurring finishing issues that have plagued Arsenal recently, following frustrating draws against Manchester United and Crystal Palace.
