Manchester City has moved to secure 16-year-old Leicester City winger Jeremy Monga. The club has reportedly submitted an official bid of approximately £10 million to sign the promising youngster.

Arsenal had previously shown serious interest in Monga but decided to withdraw from negotiations. The Gunners deemed the current valuation of the 16-year-old to be excessive. With their competitors stepping back, Manchester City has advanced to direct talks with Leicester officials to finalise the deal.

A key figure in this pursuit is Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca. The Italian coach is fully behind the move, having worked closely with Monga during his time at Leicester City in the 2023–2024 season. Maresca believes the teenager represents a significant long-term investment for the club.

Leicester City suffered a disappointing campaign last season, resulting in relegation to the First League. During the 2025/26 season, Monga made 27 league appearances for the Foxes, contributing one goal and two assists.
