On a personal level, teenager Shea Lacey provided a rare bright spot with a well-taken goal on his senior debut, becoming the youngest player to score on his first start since Marcus Rashford in 2016. However, defensive frailties and a lack of clinical finishing ensured the evening ended in misery.
