LNZ signs Nigerian striker Cody David

LNZ Cherkasy have officially announced the signing of Nigerian forward Cody David. The striker moves to the Ukrainian side from the Slovak club AS Trenčín.

During the 2025/26 season, David showed impressive form, scoring nine goals in 15 appearances across all competitions. The financial terms and the duration of the contract have not been disclosed by the parties.

This addition comes just in time for LNZ's European campaign. On July 23, Vitaliy Ponomaryov's team is set to play the first leg of the second qualifying round of the Europa Conference League against Belgian side Gent.

The return leg is scheduled for July 30. The arrival of the new striker is expected to provide a significant boost to the team's attacking options ahead of these crucial international fixtures.
