Liverpool have made a definitive move for one of Europe's most sought-after talents, RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande. The Premier League side has submitted a formal opening package worth €100m, consisting of a €90m base fee and €10m in performance-based add-ons.
RB Leipzig have rejected the initial proposal, with reports suggesting the German club is holding out for a figure closer to €120m.
While Leipzig are actively working to secure Diomande's long-term future through a contract extension and salary increase, they anticipate interest from other elite clubs, including PSG.
At present, Liverpool are in the driving seat, as PSG have yet to submit a formal offer. Furthermore, the Reds are currently offering a more attractive personal package to the 19-year-old compared to their French rivals. Diomande’s stock has soared following a campaign where he contributed 12 goals and nine assists in 33 Bundesliga matches, helping his side qualify for the Champions League.
The teenager's impressive form has continued at the World Cup, where his standout performance for Ivory Coast against Ecuador further solidified his reputation as a high-value asset. His pace and versatility on the wings proved decisive, driving his nation to a 1-0 victory and intensifying the scramble for his signature.
