Liverpool continues to explore options to strengthen their right-back position, with Michael Kayode now emerging as the club's primary target. Reports indicate the 22-year-old Italian tops the recruitment list for the Merseyside outfit.
Despite the interest, securing a deal during the January transfer window appears extremely difficult. The Bees are not looking to part ways with the player, especially after recently extending his contract until the summer of 2032, a move that significantly bolstered Brentford's negotiating position.
The club is expected to entertain offers only in the region of £50–55 million. As of now, there are no concrete negotiations taking place between Liverpool and Brentford.
While the Reds view him as a key defensive reinforcement, they are not alone in their interest. Other Premier League sides, including Arsenal, Tottenham, and Newcastle, are also monitoring the defender's situation.
