Leeds United have completed the signing of defender Tarik Muharemovic from Serie A side Sassuolo. The transfer fee for the 23-year-old is reported to be £34.1 million.
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has committed to a five-year deal at Elland Road. He arrives as a replacement for Pascal Struijk, who departed for Brighton in a £20 million move earlier this June.
This marks Leeds' second acquisition of the summer following the arrival of Harry Wilson on a free transfer from Fulham. Muharemovic featured at this summer's World Cup, where he was involved in the controversial sending-off of USA forward Folarin Balogun, and he also received a red card himself during his side's match against Switzerland.
