Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad have identified Jurgen Klopp as their primary target to fill their vacant managerial position. The club is keen to persuade the former Liverpool boss to return to the dugout following his departure from the Merseyside club in 2024.
Klopp enjoyed a trophy-laden nine-year tenure at Liverpool, securing every major honor including the Premier League and the Champions League. While Al-Ittihad reportedly view the 58-year-old as their ideal candidate, they acknowledge that securing his services would be a significant challenge requiring substantial backing.

Any speculation regarding an immediate move has been swiftly shut down by Klopp's representative, Marc Kosicke. He confirmed that there is no prospect of the German coach taking up the role this year, as Klopp remains focused on his commitments away from day-to-day management.
Klopp himself has repeatedly played down links to various high-profile roles since leaving Anfield. While he has not ruled out a return to coaching in the future, he has stated that he currently has no plans to step back into the game, having reached a stage in his life where he is not actively seeking a new project.
