Jose Mourinho is beginning his new stint at Real Madrid by establishing his trademark management style. The 63-year-old coach is leveraging his extensive experience from top European clubs to overhaul daily operations within the squad.
The first area of focus is player nutrition. The squad is now subject to a fixed menu for breakfast and snacks, with all meals required to be consumed exclusively at the club's Valdebebas training complex. Personal dietary choices are no longer permitted.
Discipline has also been tightened significantly. Players are now required to arrive at the training ground at least one hour before the session starts. Failure to do so will result in punishment regardless of a player's status, with latecomers forced to complete additional gym sessions in isolation from the rest of the team.
Furthermore, Mourinho has mandated that all injured players must conduct their rehabilitation and recovery sessions strictly at the Valdebebas facility.
