Barcelona president Joan Laporta has addressed the recent speculation surrounding the future of Raphinha Dias at the club. The president clarified that the Brazilian attacker remains a vital part of their plans.
Laporta reflected on the previous campaign, noting that the player struggled to reach his peak form during the crucial final stages of the league, Champions League, and the Copa del Rey. The president suggested that the team's outcomes could have been different had the Brazilian been at his best.
It is a shame that Raphinha could not show his maximum level at the end of the championship, Champions League, and Copa del Rey, because I think our results with him in the squad would have been different. We do not want Raphinha to leave. Joan Laporta
Despite reports of the club reinforcing their attacking line with the signings of Gordon and Adeyemi, Laporta emphasized that this does not signal an exit for Raphinha. He reiterated that the forward remains a decisive and key player for Barcelona. The player is currently sidelined while continuing his recovery from an injury sustained during the 2026 World Cup.
