Following the re-election of Florentino Perez as president of Real Madrid, reports suggest that Jose Mourinho could become the club's new manager. Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, has responded to the rumors with optimism.
Tebas remarked that the Portuguese manager's potential return to Spanish football after 13 years would be an interesting development. While he declined to comment on the sporting side of the potential appointment, he highlighted that Mourinho’s previous tenure was defined by an intense rivalry with Pep Guardiola during matches against Barcelona, which added significant appeal to the league.

Furthermore, Tebas addressed the club's plans regarding potential heavy investment in the transfer market. While he stated he does not know who the Madrid president is referring to regarding a rumored 150-million-euro signing, he emphasized that Spanish clubs should avoid reckless spending.
Finally, the league president confirmed that the next LaLiga season is scheduled to begin on August 15. He noted that the calendar will be adjusted to ensure that players participating in the final stages of the 2026 World Cup receive the mandatory 21 days of rest.
