Jack Grealish misses Man City tour despite training return

Jack Grealish has not been included in the Manchester City squad for their upcoming pre-season tour of Hong Kong and Seoul. Although the midfielder was seen training with the team last week, he will not be flying out for the 11-day trip.

The 30-year-old is continuing his recuperation from a foot injury sustained in January during a loan spell at Everton. That injury cut his season short and ended his chances of featuring for England at the World Cup.

Grealish has entered the final 12 months of his contract, and with no signs of a new deal, his future remains uncertain. New head coach Enzo Maresca is now tasked with deciding whether to reintegrate the former Villa captain into his first-team plans or facilitate a permanent exit this summer.

While Maresca insists he has a good relationship with the player, concerns remain regarding Grealish's recent off-field image. Meanwhile, Kalvin Phillips has also been excluded from the tour squad, further signaling that City may be open to potential offers for both players.

City will face Inter Milan, the K-League All Stars, and Atletico Madrid during their Far East tour.
