Ivan Rakitic has paid tribute to Antoine Griezmann as the Frenchman prepares to depart La Liga. The midfielder, who faced the forward 29 times throughout his career, described Griezmann's legacy as that of an "absolute legend."

Reflecting on Griezmann's time at Atletico Madrid and the league in general, Rakitic emphasized that few players can compare to him. Regarding Griezmann's challenging stint at Barcelona, the Croatian noted that sometimes football is simply inexplicable, but insisted it was a learning experience for everyone involved.

"His football is simply there to be enjoyed. It is full of magic and joy, and he is a player to be admired because not everyone in our profession truly enjoys the game the way he always has," concluded Rakitic.
