Internacional eye move for Corinthians' Gui Negão
Internacional is evaluating a potential move for 19-year-old Corinthians forward Gui Negão, though the São Paulo club is not expected to make his exit easy.
Internacional has expressed interest in signing Corinthians forward Gui Negão. While the club from Porto Alegre has yet to formalize an offer, they are currently evaluating a potential approach for the 19-year-old attacker.
For Corinthians, player sales remain a necessary strategy to address budget deficits identified earlier in the year. However, the club does not intend to facilitate an easy exit for the player, as he remains highly valued internally despite a recent decrease in playing time.
Gui Negão signed a long-term contract extension last August that runs through June 30, 2030. His release clause is set at 140 million Brazilian reais for domestic transfers and 100 million euros for moves to foreign clubs.
The current absence of the player is due to an injury. He has been training for less than a month, and I need him to get back to match rhythm as others are better integrated. Fernando Diniz
Head coach Fernando Diniz explained that the attacker missed significant time due to a hamstring injury sustained in March. During the 2026 season, Gui Negão has made 12 appearances, scoring one goal.
