Palmeiras forward Flaco Lopez is enjoying the best form of his career. The 25-year-old Argentine has reached a level of consistency that puts him on the verge of surpassing his personal record for goals scored in a single calendar year.

So far in the 2026 season, Lopez has found the net 21 times in 44 appearances. His recent form has been exceptional, with four goals coming in his last two games alone: a brace against Vasco da Gama in the Brasileirão and two more against Santos in the Copa do Brasil. He is now just four goals away from matching his 2025 tally of 25.

Beyond his finishing, Lopez has become a more complete attacking threat. He has already provided 11 assists this season, nearly doubling his creative output from the previous year. This evolution has made him an indispensable piece of Abel Ferreira's tactical setup.

"I am very happy here, I have many goals ahead. I made my decision, which is mine and I keep it to myself. But now we have to think about Palmeiras," said Flaco Lopez.
