Dynamo Kyiv head coach Ihor Kostiuk has commented on speculation regarding a potential move for Chernihiv goalkeeper Maksym Tatarenko. This follows remarks from Chernihiv manager Valeriy Chornyi, who suggested that while his club had received transfer inquiries, they were waiting for an approach from the Kyiv side.
Kostiuk clarified that Dynamo is not looking to recruit in that area, as they remain committed to their existing goalkeepers developed within the academy. "We have our own goalkeepers we count on, our academy graduates. Of course, there are areas that need strengthening, but the number one position is currently closed for us," the coach stated.
Tatarenko earned significant recognition during the 2025/26 Ukrainian Cup. The goalkeeper played a pivotal role in his team's campaign, notably helping Chernihiv overcome Metalist 1925 in the semi-finals.
