Hull City sign forward Ilyas Ansah from Union Berlin

Hull City have confirmed the arrival of forward Ilyas Ansah from Bundesliga side Union Berlin on a five-year deal. The Germany Under-21 international joins the club for a reported fee of €15m (£12.8m), with a further €12m (£10.2m) potentially due in add-ons.

Ansah becomes the 13th summer signing for the Tigers, who have made an impressive start to their Premier League campaign with two wins from their opening two matches following a nine-year absence from the top flight.

The 6ft 4in forward, who turns 22 in November, recorded five goals in 36 appearances for Union Berlin last season. Hull are also reportedly nearing a deal for Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, having agreed on a £22m package.
