Hull City release scathing statement as new signing Robinio Vaz is targeted with racist abuse
Hull City have condemned racist abuse directed at loan signing Robinio Vaz on social media following his arrival from Serie A giants Roma.

Premier League side Hull City have taken a firm stand against online hate after their recent loan signing, forward Robinio Vaz, was subjected to racist abuse on social media. The club was forced to remove a welcome post intended for the 19-year-old following a wave of offensive replies.
In an official statement, the club expressed their disgust and reiterated a zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination. The Tigers confirmed they are in contact with the Premier League, anti-discrimination charity Kick It Out, and social media companies to address the situation.

The club is also coordinating with Humberside Police to track down the accounts responsible for the vitriol. Hull City emphasized that they are taking investigative steps to ensure that those behind the abuse are held accountable for their actions.
Vaz joins the club from Roma as he looks to revitalize his career under manager Sergej Jakirovic. The deal includes an option for a permanent transfer at the end of July. On the pitch, the club has enjoyed a strong start to the Premier League season, securing victories over Manchester United and Coventry City.
