Former Bayern defender Dante, who took charge of Bayern Munich II this summer, is facing a difficult start to his coaching career. Following a 2-0 loss to Wacker Burghausen, the club's reserve side remains without a point after two rounds of the Regionalliga season.

The situation is historically significant, as the club has never opened a season with two consecutive defeats since the introduction of the Regionalliga Bayern in 2012. Including four pre-season friendlies, Dante's losing streak at the helm now stands at six games, with a goal difference of 2-16.

During the defeat at Burghausen, the team only showed signs of improvement in the second half. "After the break we adjusted a few things and then it was significantly better. Unfortunately, we didn't reward ourselves with a goal," Dante said after the match. "Even so, we have to keep our heads up - it's important to me that we learn from this match."

While the club is not yet in full panic mode, the results are concerning. The Regionalliga is seen as the absolute minimum requirement for the reserve setup to provide match practice for young talents at a competitive level. Relegation would represent a significant setback for the record champions' talent development.

Dante will look to reignite morale in the upcoming home match against FC Schweinfurt, who were recently relegated from the 3. Liga. A positive result there is considered vital for the team to break their losing streak and gain much-needed confidence.
