Germany secured a 2-1 victory over the United States in a friendly match held at Soldier Field in Chicago. Julian Nagelsmann's side managed to edge out the future World Cup hosts in a competitive fixture.

The visitors took an early lead just two minutes into the game through Kai Havertz, who found the net following an assist from Joshua Kimmich. The American side responded before halftime, with Antonee Robinson leveling the score in the 37th minute.

Germany reclaimed the lead in the 57th minute. This time, Havertz turned provider, setting up Leroy Sane, who scored the decisive goal to seal the win.
