Former Shakhtar coach Marino Pusic takes charge of Al-Ahli
Ex-Shakhtar Donetsk manager Marino Pusic has signed a contract with Saudi club Al-Ahli running until 2028.

Former Shakhtar Donetsk head coach Marino Pusic is continuing his coaching journey in the Middle East. The Bosnian manager has officially been appointed as the new head coach of Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, signing a contract that runs until the summer of 2028.
Pusic, who previously served on Arne Slot's staff at Feyenoord, enjoyed a successful stint in Ukraine, where he won the league title and two Ukrainian Cups. After departing the Miners at the end of the 2024/25 season, he spent one year managing Al-Jazira in the UAE, securing a fourth-place finish in his debut season.
At Al-Ahli, Pusic replaces Matthias Jaissle, who recently vacated the position to join English side Newcastle United. Before finalizing the appointment of the former Shakhtar boss, the Saudi club reportedly considered several other candidates, including Xavi and Marcelino.
