FIFA officially backs Gianni Infantino amid controversy
FIFA leadership confirmed their support for Gianni Infantino at a meeting in Morocco, addressing communication failures regarding the FIFA Forward Enterprise project.

Following a meeting in Rabat, FIFA Secretary General Mattias Grafström and board members officially reaffirmed their full support for President Gianni Infantino, noting his status as the leader elected by 211 national associations.
Participants addressed the controversy surrounding the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) initiative. The administration acknowledged errors in the development and promotion of the project, admitting that the FIFA Council and member associations should have been better involved in the process, and that communication following media leaks was handled poorly.
The organization has issued a formal apology and committed to conducting an internal investigation. The FFE project has been removed from the agenda. FIFA emphasized that while mistakes occurred, all actions were carried out in accordance with regulations, and they intend to take necessary measures to protect the organization's reputation.
