FIFA Confirms Format for U-15 World Cup in Azerbaijan

FIFA has officially confirmed the format for the new U-15 World Cup. The tournament is set to be hosted by Azerbaijan in the autumn of 2026, running from October 22 to October 31.

According to the governing body's decision, representatives from all FIFA member associations will be eligible to participate in the inaugural event. Additionally, it was announced that a separate tournament for girls' teams will launch in 2027.

While the official statement does not explicitly name Russia, the clause regarding the participation of all FIFA members implies that Russian teams could be eligible to compete.
