European football season concludes: UPL, Premier League and tennis updates
A review of sports highlights from May 23: domestic league finishes, European qualification results, and Ukrainian athletes' performances.

The 2023/24 season has concluded across major European leagues. In the Ukrainian Premier League, the final standings saw LNZ finish in second place, with Polissya securing the bronze medals. Dynamo Kyiv finished the season without league medals but successfully claimed the Ukrainian Cup. In their final match, Dynamo narrowly defeated Kudrivka, who now face relegation play-offs.
In the English Premier League, Liverpool secured a Champions League spot, while Chelsea finished outside the European qualification zones. With West Ham falling out of contention, England will be represented by five clubs in the Champions League. Meanwhile, in Serie A, Roma, featuring Artem Dovbyk, and the surprise package Como have qualified for the Champions League, with AC Milan and Juventus set to compete in the Europa League.
In the Belgian league, Club Brugge secured the title and a Champions League ticket. Danylo Sikan started for Anderlecht against Union Saint-Gilloise, playing 55 minutes. In Portugal, a major upset occurred as second-division side Torreense won the Portuguese Cup after extra time, earning a spot in the Europa League group stage.
On the tennis courts at Roland Garros, Ukrainian players had a strong start. Yuliia Starodubtseva defeated Anna Blinkova in straight sets, Daria Snigur made a comeback victory against 20th seed Clara Tauson, and Marta Kostyuk cruised past Oksana Selekhmeteva.
