Esteban González: "This team has no ceiling"
Querétaro head coach Esteban González praised his team's growth and defensive progress following a strong performance.

Querétaro head coach Esteban González has highlighted his team's significant growth, emphasizing their improved defensive work and the potential for further development. Following a strong run of form, the manager believes the club is only just beginning to show its true capabilities.
"We don't close ourselves off to anything. It was a complicated start to this tournament, but we have adjusted to the league. We have only lost to América and Toluca, and the team has shown great growth in the defensive phase. This team has no ceiling and no limits; we don't want this to be our peak," González stated.
A key performer in the recent victory was Santiago Homenchenko, who scored a brace. González explained the evolution of the Uruguayan midfielder, noting his adaptation to new tactical roles. "He had innate physical conditions, and we looked for him to show himself in a different position, initially in the defensive phase. Today, he was reading the game well, intercepting balls and executing controlled plays. The growth we've seen doesn't surprise us now that he's scoring; he really embodies the team's DNA," he added.
Reflecting on Querétaro's ability to compete on the road, the manager credited the preparation for each match and the players' tactical awareness. "We prepare every game, whether at home or away. We beat a great rival today, regardless of the venue. I feel the team read the game perfectly and struck at the right moments," he concluded.
