Espanyol has officially confirmed the appointment of two new key figures to its sporting department. Fernando Navarro and Miguel Ángel Gómez have joined the club to reinforce the structure under the guidance of Monchi.
Fernando Navarro has taken on the newly created role of director of football. The former defender, known for his time at Sevilla and his success at Euro 2008, will act as a bridge between the first team and the club's sporting leadership. This role aims to facilitate more fluid communication and direct links within the squad.
Miguel Ángel Gómez has been appointed as head of recruitment. He brings extensive experience from his previous sporting directorships at Valladolid and Ibiza, and he will play a pivotal role in the club's transfer market operations.
