Former England striker Emile Heskey has suggested that a loan move to either Celtic or Rangers could be the ideal path to fast-track the development of Arsenal teenager Max Dowman.
Heskey, who previously revealed he was approached by Celtic during Martin O'Neill's tenure, believes the competitive nature of the Scottish Premiership would provide the necessary environment for the young talent to flourish.
Elsewhere in Scottish football, St Johnstone manager Simo Valakari has encouraged forward Taylor Steven to set his sights on a senior Scotland call-up. Meanwhile, Aberdeen midfielder Connor Ronan has expressed confidence that his captain, Kevin Nisbet, can surpass the 20-goal mark by the end of the season.
Transfer speculation also surrounds former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu, with reports suggesting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Hull City. However, Besiktas have reportedly indicated they would only consider a sale if they receive an astronomical offer for the South Korean forward.
