Dynamo Kyiv eliminated from Conference League after defeat to Qarabag

Dynamo Kyiv have exited the 2026/27 European competition season. In the return leg of the UEFA Conference League third qualifying round, Igor Kostiuk's side suffered a 2-0 defeat away to Azerbaijani side Qarabag.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 12th minute when a scuffed shot from Matheus Silva fell to Jali Mouaddib, who promptly beat goalkeeper Vyacheslav Surkis. Despite creating several opportunities to level the score early in the second half, the Kyiv team failed to convert their chances.

Qarabag secured the victory in the 69th minute. After a cross from the left flank, Oleksiy Kashchuk arrived at the edge of the six-yard box to turn the ball into the net. With the first leg ending 1-0 in favor of Dynamo, Qarabag advanced on aggregate.
