Crystal Palace open contract talks with captain Dean Henderson

Crystal Palace have officially entered into contract negotiations with Dean Henderson to secure his long-term future at the club. The club is keen to reward the goalkeeper, who has become an instrumental leader since his 2023 move from Manchester United.

Currently, Henderson is working his way back to full fitness following an ankle injury sustained during pre-season. He is expected to miss the upcoming matches against Lech Poznan in the Europa League and Leeds United in the Premier League as he continues his recovery.

Despite significant interest from clubs like Nottingham Forest during the summer, Palace stood firm in their refusal to entertain any offers for their goalkeeper.
