Ukrainian full-back Yukhym Konoplia, who joined Borussia Monchengladbach this summer, will have to delay his Bundesliga debut. The player has sustained a knee injury, creating an unexpected roster issue for the club at the start of the season.
In response to the setback, the club returned to the transfer market. According to reports, Borussia have reached an agreement with Slavia Prague to loan Japanese defender Daiki Hashioka for one year, with an option to buy.
The 27-year-old is expected to arrive in Germany soon to undergo a medical examination and complete the move. Hashioka spent the second half of last season on loan at Belgian club Gent, where he made 17 appearances.
