Bayern Munich have confirmed that striker Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea following the conclusion of his loan spell. According to Fabrizio Romano, the German club's hierarchy has decided against exercising their option to sign the 25-year-old Senegalese international permanently.

The buyout clause was set at €64 million. Reports indicate that the high fee was the primary hurdle for the deal, even though head coach Vincent Kompany had been pleased with the player's development and work ethic throughout the campaign.

Over the course of the previous season, Jackson made 34 appearances, contributing 11 goals and four assists. The decision comes shortly after the club officially announced the signing of Saibari.
