Barcelona targets youth squad sales to boost transfer budget
To improve their financial position, Barcelona is considering the sale of several academy prospects, including Tommy Marquez and Marc Casado.

Barcelona's sporting director Deco and head coach Hansi Flick have begun the process of shaping the squad for the upcoming season. After a series of meetings with young players, it has become clear that several of them will need to move to new clubs to secure regular playing time or help the club's financial situation.
Tommy Marquez is among those earmarked for a potential exit. Given the intense competition in midfield, the player is seeking a fresh environment to continue his development. While his release clause is set at 20 million euros, Barcelona would reportedly be happy to sanction his departure for a lower fee. Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, and Sporting Braga have emerged as interested parties, with Braga reportedly looking at a deal similar to Pau Victor's last summer, valued at around 12 million euros plus variables.
Beyond Marquez, the future of Marc Casado is also under discussion. A potential move to the Saudi Pro League could provide a significant boost to the Catalan club's budget, with a fee approaching 40 million euros being discussed. While talks are ongoing, the club is weighing all options to ensure they meet their financial objectives for the term.
