Following their aggressive pursuit of Newcastle's Anthony Gordon, Barcelona has turned its attention to another major attacking target: Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez.
Reports suggest that the Madrid side expects a substantial return, aiming for a total package worth around 150 million euros. Barcelona has reportedly already submitted an initial bid of 90 million euros, hoping to negotiate the final price down to roughly 100 million euros plus add-ons.
The potential transfer is influenced by the player's reported refusal to sign a contract extension with Atletico, putting pressure on the club to consider a sale. Barcelona's sporting director Deco is reportedly leading the negotiations, aiming to beat competition from PSG and Arsenal, who are also actively involved in talks for the Argentine international.
