Barcelona revive interest in Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi

Barcelona have renewed their pursuit of Bournemouth striker Eli Junior Kroupi as they search for long-term attacking depth to eventually succeed Robert Lewandowski. With a deal for Julian Alvarez currently stalled due to resistance from Atletico Madrid, sporting director Deco has placed the 20-year-old French forward back on the club's agenda.

Kroupi enjoyed a breakout debut season in the Premier League, netting 13 goals in 35 appearances. His performance has made him a target for several elite clubs, including Chelsea, PSG, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City

However, Bournemouth maintain a firm stance regarding their forward. Tiago Pinto, the club's head of football operations, has described Kroupi as the cornerstone of their project and has vowed to keep him this summer, even if bids were to reach 100 million euros. As the Cherries prepare for their first European campaign following a sixth-place finish under Andoni Iraola, retaining top talent is a major objective.

Despite the player's agent, Moussa Sissoko, recently distancing his client from rumors of a move to Catalonia, Barcelona are looking to test the finality of that stance. The club hopes to find a way to open formal talks before the transfer window concludes.
