Atlético Mineiro signs partnership with Kelly Key's club to scout African talent
Atlético Mineiro has officially partnered with Angolan club Kiala FC to strengthen the recruitment and development of young football talents from Africa.

Atlético Mineiro has officially announced a new partnership with the Angolan club Kiala FC. The agreement was formalized during a visit by the club's owner, singer and entrepreneur Kelly Key, and her husband Mico Freitas to the Galo training complex in Vespasiano.
The primary objective of this collaboration is to establish a strategic hub in Africa for identifying and nurturing young football prospects. The Belo Horizonte-based club aims to utilize this connection to bolster its youth academy and eventually integrate these players into the professional setup in Brazil.
During their visit, the guests toured the club's infrastructure, including the training pitches, medical facilities, and the new housing facilities for academy players. The couple also attended the match at Arena MRV, witnessing Atlético's 3-0 victory over Grêmio.
Today, Kiala takes one of the most important steps in its history. We have signed a partnership with Atlético Mineiro that positions Kiala as a strategic point for Galo in Africa for the identification and development of talent. Kiala FC
The Angolan project, Kiala FC, was founded in October 2023 and currently supports around 70 teenagers. The partnership will provide these young athletes with improved infrastructure and professional guidance, creating a clearer pathway for them to be evaluated and developed by the Atlético project.
