Atletico Madrid hold talks over move for Tottenham captain Cristian Romero

Atletico Madrid have opened discussions regarding a potential transfer for Tottenham captain Cristian Romero. The Argentina defender, who signed a new four-year deal with Spurs last August, is widely expected to leave the club during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Diego Simeone has long identified Romero as a primary target to bolster his defensive line, and the Spanish side is now pressing ahead with concrete attempts to secure the centre-back.
