Arsenal are considering PSG forward Bradley Barcola as a potential alternative to Aston Villa's Morgan Rogers. The Gunners have received encouragement that the French forward could be available for transfer this summer.
Arsenal’s recruitment staff, who have monitored the 23-year-old for some time, intend to watch him in action during France's World Cup match against Sweden on Tuesday night. While Rogers remains a leading target, Aston Villa’s reported £130m valuation of the 23-year-old Englishman is creating a significant hurdle for the club.
Barcola’s situation at PSG may be influenced by the potential arrival of RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande. With his contract running until 2028, Barcola would command a significantly lower fee than Rogers. Liverpool are also reportedly tracking the winger, should PSG decide to listen to offers.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are also exploring the market for a new goalkeeper due to uncertainty regarding the future of current backup Kepa Arrizabalaga. Leeds United's Illan Meslier, who is set to become a free agent this summer, has emerged as a potential target.
