Arsenal appear to have officially abandoned their pursuit of Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior. The English club's hopes of securing a deal for the Brazilian during the current transfer window have all but faded.
According to reports from the Spanish outlet Marca, the Gunners are now convinced that the player is set to sign a contract renewal at the Bernabeu. This belief has led the London club to step back from making a substantial bid that might have tempted Madrid to sell.
Arsenal had previously been viewed as the frontrunners for the winger, particularly following reports that Real Madrid were open to offers exceeding 100 million euros. However, the player's lack of public interest in a move has signaled that he intends to remain in the Spanish capital.
With his current contract expiring next season, Real Madrid are focused on securing a new agreement to avoid the risk of losing him for free. As a result, Arsenal have turned their attention to alternative attacking targets, with PSG's Bradley Barcola emerging as a potential candidate.
