Alexandru Chipciu: Dynamo is an Eastern European giant

Universitatea captain and defender Alexandru Chipciu has shared his perspective on the upcoming encounters against Dynamo Kyiv in the first qualifying round of the Europa League.

We are playing against Dynamo Kyiv, a giant of Eastern Europe from the past years. They have many young Ukrainian players now; I saw them in the Ukraine vs Poland match, and they seem very high-quality to me. Alexandru Chipciu

Chipciu highlighted the high level of the young players in the Kyiv side, whom he observed during their national team appearances. The defender acknowledged Dynamo's status as favorites but emphasized that his own team has improved significantly and is prepared for a competitive duel.

They will certainly be the favorites in this tie, but I would like to say that we have also raised our level and I think we will have a good duel with them. I wouldn't say they are the best, but one shouldn't think it will be an easy match. This was likely the most difficult opponent from our group. Alexandru Chipciu

The matches between the Kyiv side and the Romanian club are scheduled for July 9 and July 16.
