Saudi Pro League club Al-Hazem have officially confirmed the signing of Congolese forward Afimico Pululu. The 27-year-old joins the club on a free transfer after departing Polish side Jagiellonia Bialystok.
This move addresses the vacancy in Al-Hazem's attack following the departure of Syrian striker Omar Al-Somah, who left the club after one season. During that campaign, Al-Somah recorded 9 goals and 1 assist in 26 appearances.
Pululu was previously a target for Egyptian giants Al-Ahly, who held talks over a potential move last winter, though no deal was reached at the time. The forward arrives in Saudi Arabia in strong form, having notched 21 goals and 8 assists in 47 matches across all competitions in Poland last term.
The forward's career highlights include finishing as the top scorer in the 2024-2025 UEFA Europa Conference League with 8 goals. Beyond his time in Poland, Pululu has previously represented Swiss club Basel and Germany's Greuther Furth.
