Al-Diriyah signs Bosnia goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj after World Cup campaign
Saudi side Al-Diriyah has added Bosnian goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj to their squad on a free transfer, just a day after announcing the signing of Amine Al-Boukhari.

Saudi Pro League club Al-Diriyah has bolstered their goalkeeping options by signing Bosnian international Nikola Vasilj. The 30-year-old arrives on a free transfer following the conclusion of his contract with German side St. Pauli.
This move comes as a surprise, occurring just 24 hours after the club announced the arrival of former Al-Fateh goalkeeper Amine Al-Boukhari. Vasilj marks the fifth summer signing for Al-Diriyah as they prepare for the upcoming campaign.
Vasilj brings significant European experience, having previously played for Ukrainian club Zorya Luhansk and helping St. Pauli achieve promotion to the Bundesliga. He also served as the first-choice goalkeeper for Bosnia and Herzegovina at the 2026 World Cup, where he helped the team reach the round of 32.
With two new goalkeepers now on the roster, the club faces a tactical decision regarding the starting role in goal for the new season.
