Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli has concluded its overseas pre-season training camp in Austria and Portugal with a final setback. The team finished their tour with a 1-1 draw against English club Fulham on Tuesday.
Brazilian striker Ricardo Matias gave Al-Ahli the lead in the 20th minute, but the English side equalized before halftime. This match marked the second fixture for the Saudi team that day, following a 2-0 defeat to Portuguese side Portimonense earlier in the afternoon.
The draw against Fulham was the sixth and final friendly of the camp. Throughout their time in Europe, Al-Ahli managed only one victory, an 8-0 win against Austrian club Saalfelden in their opening match.
The rest of the camp saw the team struggle for results, recording three defeats against Holstein Kiel, Vitoria Guimaraes, and Portimonense, alongside two 1-1 draws with Rio Ave and Fulham. The squad is now set to return to Jeddah to complete their final preparations before the start of the 2026-2027 season.
