Ajax facing race against time for Tolu Arokodare's work permit
Ajax have applied for Tolu Arokodare's work permit, but the club is under pressure to complete the process before upcoming registration deadlines.

Ajax have submitted an application for a work permit for new striker Tolu Arokodare. However, journalist Mike Verweij reports that the process has become a "race against the clock" for the Dutch club.
The urgency is driven by tight deadlines for upcoming competitions. Following a 4-1 victory over Vojvodina in the first leg, Ajax are nearing the next round of the Conference League. The club must submit their squad list to UEFA for the next stage by the evening of 5 August.
Beyond European commitments, manager Míchel is keen to include the 1.97-metre tall striker for the Eredivisie opening match against PEC Zwolle on 9 August. To achieve this, Ajax must register Arokodare with the KNVB by midday on 7 August.
Arokodare recently joined Ajax on a one-season loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers, with a 20 million euro option to buy included in the deal. The Nigerian forward will face competition for the starting role from Marcos Leonardo, who joined the club earlier this season.
